Business Policies (Summary) - Scroll down below FAQ for complete business policy statement.

Firearms Sales - All firearms sales are in accordance with federal firearms laws and regulations.

International Orders - We cannot ship gun parts outside the United States. We will have complete determination on what is considered a gun part that cannot be shipped internationally, or a non gun part product that can be shipped. Basically, if a product goes in, or on a firearm, whether on the inside or the outside of the firearm, then it is considered a gun part and cannot be shipped internationally. The products we can generally ship internationally are belts, holsters, pouches, brushes, shotshell carriers, books, etc. Tracking is not available on international mail purchases. We offer an international billing option for those customers who wish to charge an international card, but want to ship the products inside the U.S while they're visiting.

Order Cancellation - Because orders auto-process from the website, once an order is submitted, the buyer is responsible for any fees that we incur for credit card processing if the order is cancelled. If an item shows to be in stock and is later determined to not be in stock, the order may be cancelled without any fees being charged.

Display of Website Inventory and In Stock vs. Out of Stock Status - If a product is out of stock, or if a customer selects a larger quantity than is in stock, a message will be displayed that reads "There are not enough products in stock".

Privacy - All customer information is kept confidential except as needed to process and ship orders. Customer information is never shared nor sold.

Product Legality - We will not ship products to any state that has restrictions in place on those products. Due to the complexity of maintaining legitimacy documentation, this applies to LEO purchases as well. It is ultimately the customer's responsibility to ensure the products they are purchasing are legal to possess in their jurisdiction, state, or territory.

Shipping - Customers select their preferred carrier (USPS, UPS, or Fedex) as part of the checkout process. In most cases, we will email tracking information to the email address provided in the order. Insurance may be added at customer request or at our discretion depending on the order total. Due to an uptick in attempted fraudulent orders, we no longer offer expedited UPS or Fedex shipping, nor will we ship to an address different than the billing address of the credit card used for the order.

See the FAQ below which addresses the most common questions we get about our shipping and return policies, business practices and product related information. We update the FAQ on a regular basis to try and assist our customers with getting questions answered in a timely manner and to help ensure your interactions with usresult in a more positive experience for all concerned.

Returns Related Questions

Can I return a product?

Yes you may. Any product may be returned for an exchange or refund (minus shipping costs) provided the product has not been used and is returned in the original packaging with original documentation. Simply return the product with a note as to whether you want an exchange or a refund. If the return is due to an error that we made, your refund or exchange will obviously include shipping costs as well.

What if I am not satisfied with a product after I've tried it?

While we obviously can't provide refunds on products that have been used or installed, if you've bought a product from us and just aren't happy with it, we will contact the manufacturer on your behalf to see if there are any options available to ensure your satisfaction. We have no options available to us above and beyond what the manufacturer supports or provides. We certainly cannot accept returns on sights that have been installed or had an installation attempted.

Shipping Related Questions

Where is my tracking number?

When you place your order via the website, you have a pull down menu option with several shipping methods available. The email address you provide in the order form will be set up for updates by the shipper directly so you are advised on shipping status, delivery, etc. If you don't receive an email with tracking information, check your spam box and also check to ensure the email address was entered correctly during the check out process.

Do you ship internationally?

We can ship any product that is not a gun part internationally. Any product that goes in, or on a firearm is considered a gun part. International shipping is covered in more detail on the "About Us" page.

Order Related Questions

Can I place my order over the phone instead of via the website?

Yes, you can. Understand however, that we are a small business and do not have personnel dedicated to answering phone calls. If you call and get voicemail, please leave a message and state you want to place an order over the phone. We'll call you back as soon as possible and obtain your information.

When will my order ship out?

Except for products out of stock, orders usually ship out same day or next day. If we're off shooting a match somewhere, your emailed response will have the anticipated ship date in the subject line. Good or bad, I'm a shooter first and a business man second. While this does result in small delays in shipment at times, our customers can rest assured that we are doing "extensive field testing" of the products we carry to ensure they're up to everyone's expectations and standards of excellence.

Product Specific Questions

Nordic Components

Will a "+ whatever" Nordic Components tube extend beyond my barrel which is "X" inches long?

There is information on the Nordic Components product page to find out exactly how long each tube extension is. As the Nordic barrel nuts are different lengths for different guns, a +5 Remington tube doesn't have the same overall length as a +5 Benelli tube. Measure from the point where your barrel nut meets the forearm, to the end of your barrel and you can easily determine which tubes will, or will not extend beyond your barrel. Keep in mind that extended choke tubes like Briley or Carlson, if used, add length to your barrel as well.

If I get a Nordic tube that is longer than my barrel, will shot hit the tube?

No; and it doesn't matter how short the barrel or how long the tube. Nuff said.

Warren/Sevigny Sights

Is the front and rear tritium lamp a different color?

Yes. The lamp in the front sight is green and the lamp(s) in the rear are amber.

What's the difference in the Sevigny competition vs. the Sevigny carry rear?

Not much. I've actually put the two side by side and had some shooters not be able to see the difference in the two sights. The only difference is there are a couple of corners on the inside of the carry rear that have been rounded. The biggest difference is the serrated front packaged with the carry rear is .125 wide while the serrated front packaged with the competition rear is .115 wide. The fiber optic front is .115 wide and is the same for both carry and competition rear packages.

Should I get the Warren rear or the Sevigny rear?

Do you like Ford or Chevy trucks? Ok, I 'm kidding....somewhat. The notch specifications on the two standard rears is the same, which is .150. So, the issue is mostly the physical or cosmetic difference in the Warren vs. the Sevigny rear. The bottom of the notch on the Warren rear is "U" shaped, while the bottom of the notch on the Sevigny rears is square. Some people prefer the Warren because they feel it's design directs their eyes up to the notch, while others prefer the straight blade look of the Sevigny. They're both great sights.

Do I need a pusher to install sights?

While a pusher is preferred, it isn't an absolute necessity. Sights can be installed without damage by carefully using a brass or similar punch that won't scar or damage the sight. It is usually to file the rear sight a small amount to ensure proper installation and reduce the risk of damage to the sight during the installation process.

What pusher should I get?

Any pusher designed for Glock sights will work. I use a MGW pusher with the slanted edges. It works well with all the sights that we sell.

I didn't get the results I expected with my .215/.245 front?

The manufacturer recommendations on the expected results for the .215 or the .245 tall front are a general claim. There are too many variations in loads, bullet weights, velocities, shooter tendencies, etc. for any manufacturer to say without exception you use "this" to get "this". The manufacturer's statement is generally, for point of aim/point of impact at 20 yards, use the .245 front for Glock models 24, 34, and 35, and the .215 front for all other Glock models. At 7 to 10 yards, both fronts will print a little low. We are unable to accept returns on sights that have been installed on a gun. We don't sell used sights, and it isn't fair to any of our customers to pay for a new sight that's not really new because it's been installed on a gun previously...even if only for a short time.

Do I need a .215 or a .245 tall front?

My opinion on the best starting point is to follow the sight manufacturer's recommendation and get the .245 front for model 24, 34, and 35 guns, and the .215 front for all other models. Remember, the manufacturer's reference to point of aim/point of impact is at 20 yards, so both sights will print a little low at 7 to 10 yards.

I want to ship you my slide to have sights installed. What do I do?

Simply order the sight set you want via the normal order process, then purchase the sight installation item/product and put that into your shopping cart as well. Ship your slide to CPWSA, 84 Ridgeline Road, Talking Rock, GA 30175. By adding the sight installation item to the shopping cart, this prevents us from having your sight set in route to you while your slide is in route to us.

Misc. Product Questions

I've seen you compete with products that you don't sell?

CPWSA was not designed, nor are we trying, to be everything to everybody. There are many good products available that we do not sell. On the other hand however, we will not sell any product that we do not believe is a best in class product. Long time customers have likely seen some products that have come and gone from our website. These were products that didn't live up to our expectations for reliability or durability, or were not able to provide consistent restocking of their products. While I may not have personal experience with a few of the products we sell, I have the opinion of shooter's whose opinion I respect, that guide our decision as to which products we offer, or in some cases choose not to offer.

How do I install or replace the fiber optic rod in my sight?

Check to ensure the gun is unloaded. If necessary, take a sharp knife or razor blade and cut out the existing fiber optic rod. Push a new piece of fiber optic rod through the front sight and leave about one half inch of rod sticking out on the breech end of the sight. Take a match or Bic lighter and hold the flame rear the end of the fiber optic rod. Don't put the flame directly on the fiber rod as this can smoke it up. You'll see the end of the rod "mushroom" as heat is applied. Heat the rod just enough so the now bulbed end of the fiber optic rod can be pulled back into the front sight. The bulbed end needs to be small enough to recess into the front sight hole, but large enough so that it cannot be removed by pulling it through the sight from the muzzle end. With a pair of side cutters, or very sharp knife or razor blade, cut the fiber optic rod off at the muzzle end, leaving about 1/32" sticking out. Hold a flame near this end of the rod until it mushrooms and shrinks into the blade of the front sight. Check to ensure the newly installed rod is tight in the front sight and cannot be moved back and forth. If movement is evident, heat the muzzle end of the rod until the movement is gone.

Sponsorship Questions

Does CPWSA sponsor shooters?

Based on the size of our business, while we would like to, we aren't able to offer "full boat" sponsorships to anyone. We do offer some limited sponsorship agreements with several shooters, but are not looking to expand our sponsored shooter base at this time. We honor and value the friendships and relationships we have with our sponsored shooters as well as our customers all over the country.

I see CPWSA logos on a lot of shirts out there?

Yes, a lot of our friends and customers choose to wear our logo on their match jersey. We are honored that this is the case. Techwear, Reviwear, and Gemini have our logo on file and have instructions to allow anyone who wants to use our logo on their shirt to do so with no special permission required. With that said, this means that many shooters who have our logo on their shirt are not formal representatives of our company. So, if you see somebody out there sporting our logo and acting the fool, please don't hold us accountable. Other than the custom jerseys offered by the aforementioned companies, our CPWSA polos and tee shirts are quite the stir in the fashion world as well. We hear some black tie events even allow entry in our outwear in lieu of formal evening attire. That's good stuff right there.

I notice CPWSA sponsors a lot of matches?

We support those who support us. Based on the ever increasing number of 3 gun, USPSA, LE, NRA, IDPA, steel challenge type, charity, Toys for Tots, youth seminars, and other worthwhile matches and causes, we've struggled more every year deciding what events to sponsor. The fact is, we can't continue to sponsor matches with the decision making process we've used in the past; which was, if you asked, we would sponsor or support in some way. We have begun a method of tracking shipments by state and region, in addition to logging customer comments when orders are placed thanking us for sponsoring "X" match, as a method of determining which matches we sponsor; and of those we sponsor, to what extent. Matches in our high shipment states and areas, or matches referenced in customer comment feedback will continue to receive sponsorship from us. We are aware, of course, that we will always ship more product to Texas than we do Rhode Island or example, and we utilize a "per capita" type filter when making our determinations. The last thing I want to do is start a "buy this from us and we'll give you this, or this at a discount", or "buy 3 guns from us and we'll give you one". In my mind, that isn't a sponsorship at all. There are some suppliers, and gun manufacturers who take that approach and I suppose it is smart business, as they get the same advertising visibility at a match as the company that donated products or money outright, but that didn't require a purchase as part of their sponsorship. We'll see how our new system works and go from there, but we will never require a purchase to sponsor a match. If it gets to the point where we have to do that, I'll take the shingle down.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless CPWSA and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

SECTION 15 - SEVERABILITY

In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

SECTION 16 - TERMINATION

The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.
These Terms of Service are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms of Service at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our site.
If in our sole judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services (or any part thereof).

The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
These Terms of Service and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this site or in respect to The Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).
Any ambiguities in the interpretation of these Terms of Service shall not be construed against the drafting party.
